Cheyenne Regional Medical Center sponsors the Cheyenne Civic Band First Concert this Thursday Cheyenne, Wyo. – For the first time, Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is proud to present “Summer Sounds at Sunset,” a family friendly concert series that features the Cheyenne Civic Band. The first concert of the series is this Thursday, June 21 and begins at 7 p.m. at the Lions Park Amphitheatre. Concerts continue throughout the summer on July 12, August 2, August 16 and August 30. All concerts begin at 7 p.m. at the Lions Park Amphitheatre. The Cheyenne Civic Band is a group of local musicians in the Cheyenne community who range in age from children ten years old to adults. All band members are volunteers and come from a variety of backgrounds. Cheyenne Regional is the exclusive sponsor of the band, directed by Sean Ambros, Band Director and Coordinator for Laramie County School District #1. This season the band plans to play more than 50 different titles, including songs like the 1812 Overture, Barber of Seville, in addition to some 20 Marches. In August the band will be performing a ‘British Invasion’ concert, complete with music from William Byrd, Vaughn Williams, and of course, The Beatles. “I am looking forward to an incredible season of music making!” said Sean Ambros. Cheyenne Regional Medical Center recognizes that vibrant cultural experiences enrich our lives and contribute to the overall health and well-being of our community. Sponsoring the band is a natural extension of Cheyenne Regoinal’s mission of improving the health of our community as a whole. -Cheyenne Regional- |
