Cheyenne Heart Center at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is the first hospital in the region to offer transmyocardial laser revascularization (TMR). TMR is a revolutionary new heart treatment involving the use of a CO2 laser to create conduits or bloodlines in the heart muscle. (more)

Cryotherapy
A pilot study on the use of cryotherapy for the treatment of benign prostate disease was inaugurated this week at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.

The study, being conducted by Cheyenne urological surgeon James Lugg, MD, of Cheyenne Urological, PC, is being funded by Galil Medical. (full text)

CRMC designated Regional Trauma Center

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center has been certified as a Regional Trauma Center by the Wyoming Department of Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services.

"This designation demonstrates CRMC's dedication to quality trauma care," the Wyoming Trauma Program Coordinator said. "It reflects the high level of care CRMC is able to provide its patients who have sustained traumatic injury." See Trauma Service
