Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Increases its Rankings, Ensures Heart Patients Receive Timely Care CHEYENNE – The latest data from the American College of Cardiology (ACC) shows the Heart Center at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is making great strides to improve outcomes by decreasing the amount of time it takes to open a blocked artery and resume blood flow to the heart. In 80 percent of the cases, acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients coming in from the emergency department have an open artery in under 90 minutes. “Cheyenne Regional’s Heart Center ranks in the top 8 percent of hospitals nationwide that provide this type of treatment for AMI’s.” said Timothy M. Gardner, M.D., FACC, Medical Director of The Heart Center. “AMI remains the number one killer in our nation and The Heart Center continues to provide premier care for our regional patients.” Cheyenne Regional is dedicated to meeting the highest standards of quality for our patients and continually improving outcomes, satisfaction and, ultimately, quality of life.
